Bet 5 challenge 3

Today was a busy day and unfortunately I did forget to take screenshots of every bet I made. There was a couple in the Spanish league but ended up with no win or loss, so they don’t count.
However, the couple of German games I laid when 1-1, I did manage to grab a screenshot but of just one.

The other game was just for £2 and in my statement of my profit and Loss you can see clearly the bet I missed grabbing the first screenshot. It does put me back near the £20 stage. It’s Sunday tomorrow and then a full league fixtures for the conference on Monday (Bank Holiday). I’m liking this way much better and it on,y needs one game with lots of goals to turn that £2 into over £50. Let’s not get to greedy just yet though....... The Bankroll is now at £17.64

Bet 4 challenge 3

Last night I was keeping tabs of the scores on a Tuesday night with all three leagues lower than the Premier playing.
I had my eye on the Blackpool game who are away but drawing at HT 2-2. I check the stats and loads of shots. So I lay the draw for £5. But I see I have been awarded some free cash and I check and my balance is £11.90. I’m not quite sure how or what or why my balance is showing the extra cash, but it helps when unfortunately the game does not have any second half goals and we lose our second bet in a row, but still have over the original starting Bank at £11.90.
There are a small number of games tonight, so I shall see if anything is worth laying. It’s definitely the correct way to go and even at £11.90 I can lay a couple of teams at £5 and still have something left. Hopefully we can recover and it only takes that one free bet to come in to put the Bankroll over that £50 and then the rules kick in.
Notice how much less liquidity is in Betdaq?

Bet 3 Challenge 3

Bet 3 was a draw at HT and I laid this bet in the Iceland Premier league. The stats showed it to be an open game and was worth laying the draw. But unfortunately I suffer my first loss but thankfully it was not all of the betting bank, just £6.50.
I also swopped over from Betfair to BETDAQ. The reason for the swop was because on Betfair there’s a market called correct score 2 and Man City have a habit of scoring 4 5 or even 6 goals in a match and I frequently bet on this score-lines. But I can only have one Betfair account so I had to transfer this challenge over to Betdaq. But it’s proving to be a pain because there’s no money like on Betfair even for laying just a small bet.
Anyway, for now it’s got to stay as it is and I lose my first bet.
Bankroll down to £13.50

Bet 2 challenge 3

After my little run of luck with Barca losing I thought yes, finally now let’s get to that £50.
So the second bet was a small win. You see the way to make money on this bet, is if there’s a lot of goals. I figured with it being 2-2 I could lay the draw and then once a goal had been scored I could of then had a free bet with no risk to my betting bank instead of taking that small profit. On this occasion though, I took the equal ish profit and that put the bank passed the £23. It proved to be the correct decision with no more goals.
However there will be times when I place the bet then put that back on a draw. If no more goals it’s neither a profit or a loss and so no need to fill the blog with scratch bets.

An we crashed again. So Bet 1 challenge 3

Sadly I crashed and burned again over the back end of last week. I have been extremely busy though to update this blog, until now that is.
I did the 24 hr rest like before and I thought about what was going wrong. I worked out that my game choice was based nothing more on my gut instinct and so I’ve now changed the bet I make.
So Challenge 3 is now about laying the draw. I thought I’d give this a go and see if I can make something out of this instead.
Friday night was the first game and at HT in the opening Spanish match Barca were level at 0-0 and so I laid the draw. I was so tired though, I fell asleep about 5 minutes before Full time and it was 0-0 still. It was only later the following day that I realised, the home side scored late on and beat Barca.

Day 5 continued

Well I spoke way to soon and no sooner was I riding high, two bets later and I’m now back to my starting stake.
I took a big punt on a French time who absolutely were destroying their opponents. Straight after the HT though the home team were pulled back to 1-1 and I went a tad crazy and placed £8 of the £22 I had on the home team to win at very attractive price I thought at about 2.50. I fell asleep during the game and it was only when I woke up that I saw the result ended 1-1.
I also had £4.50 ish on Chelsea after they to were unlucky to be losing 1-0 to Man U. They played some good stuff and they were just unlucky and Utd hit them on the counter.
Overall I’m happy with my decision even though I’m back to my staking starting stack of £10. Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Day 5 Challenge 2

Ive started with a winning day thus far. I put £5 on both Arsenal and Lille both to win. Unfortunately I fell asleep but was nice to see both had won. I did green up on the Lille game when they scored quite early for a nice £3 odd profit, but the Arsenal game was a nice surprise when I did wake up. They won 1-0 and with me sleeping I won the full bet at odds of 2.28.

So the Bankroll is now up to £22.17

Day 4 Challenge 2

I had a varied amount of bets today with I think 5 in total. Unfortunately I ended up about £2 down, although if I had not cashed out I would of been in profit. Below are the Net bets with there being so many.

Day 3 Challenge Number 2

I left it last night with my second attempt hanging by the smallest of threads. All £5.01 on Porto to win away in the Champions League Qualifies.

Porto left it very late, but they did score in the 87th minute and so the first thing was to nullify my exposure, which I successfully did. Not making the same mistake like in the first Challenge, I then took equal profit.

I then checked the stats on another game and this away side was battering the home team and with the odds very generous, I could not let this one escape my attention. It’s always a good feeling that once you place the bet within just a minute the team you backed scores and held on for the win. Very happy about this result and again, I took the guaranteed profit.
The Bankroll is now at £14.76

Day 2 Challenge 2.

Why oh why aren’t the football gods being kind to me......

I placed £2 singles on 3 games, that I checked over with the live data and all 3 were battering their opponents after 30 minutes or so and I couldn’t lose, yeah right. Those famous last words.
I was extremely confident after the opening weekend results in the conference but yet again, what do I know.
I placed £2 on Flyde to win at home v a team that gained promotion last season in Chorley. Before the start of the match, Flyde were priced at almost 1/2 on, meaning you had to put £2 on to win just £1. So when the match was 0-0 after 30 minutes, the price had drifted and the stats showed Flyde were having a lot of shots on goal. Surely it was just a matter of time. Apparently not, the game ended 0-0 and £2 lost.

The next game was Maidenhead at home to Chesterfield. Although Maidenhead won on Saturday away from home, it was just 1-0 and Maidenhead finished just one place above the 4 teams that got relegated last season. Chesterfield though were the second favourites to win the league and the odds offered I thought was real good value at nearly 2/1, along with good live stats. But just like the first game, it was another F I B (Filed In Bin). The game ended 1-1.

Lastly, my third bet was more of a bet based on live stats more than anything. Woking had just gained promotion after falling out of the division in 2017/18, they returned immediately back into the conference at the first attempt and they are the closest ground to where I live, so I do have a soft spot for them. They were playing a team that should of been relegated last season, but didn’t because another team had broken some rules and their punishment was to be relegated instead. Woking also won their first game and it was an away win to. So everything pointed to a comfortable home win. They had a goal disallowed to make it 1-1 at HT and when still 1-0 with 10 minutes or so to go, I laid Aldershot for £5 at odds of 1.40 ish hoping for the home team to at least score once. Of course they lost 1-0.
My Bankroll is now back to £5.01 and I’ve placed that on Porto in the Champions League away tomorrow evening. I shall update this thread with that result tomorrow on Day 3.

Back to day 1 challenge 2

So having time to reflect on yesterday’s events, I decided from now on, I have to take the small profits. That way, I slowly rather than going for it like a bull in a China shop, build up the Bankroll.
I can still basically do what I want up to the £50 stage, but I’m going to try and stick to playing small ball.
That’s what happened tonight. The game I checked out was Huddersfield v Derby and after 15 minutes, Derby had 75% of possession. Now I hear you, granted the Brentford game v Birmingham proved that live stats can still go scew whiff from time to time, but the majority of times, it’s just a matter of time before the team with that much possession scores a goal.
I made my bet..... £2 on Derby to win at around 3.35. I have taken the screenshot but I can’t recall from memory at this time. I do know though, that within 4 minutes of placing that bet, Derby went on to score the first goal. Just 10 minutes later it was 0-2. At this time I looked at making sure I had a profit this time, but whilst I was sorting that out, Huddersfield scored to make 1-2. I then left the bet and to be honest, forgot about it whilst I was playing a poker tournament or 3. When I did check it again, it was about in the 75th minute and the score was still 1-2. The price had now come down to the same level it was when 0-2 in front. This time I did manage to place the bet, so now it was an easy green up with a £3 profit whatever the result and I now had a 30% Bankroll increase. I don’t know how many times I’m going to say that........

I now have just short of £13, I had forgotten about Betfair’s commission, per norm. But £12.96 it’s the new Bankroll.

Day 3 and Busted

Unfortunately I’ve crashed and burned on my first attempt. I checked my account and it stated I had £7.05 in my bank. I don’t know why it said that because it was £8.39 at the close last night, anyway, it’s gone. Because it was that low and I really fancied Man City to win V Liverpool in today’s Charity Shield game at Wembley at odds of 2.06 I lumped all of it on Man City.
City went 1-0 up quite early and they kept that lead for about 75minutes and I had reduced my risk to zero and had over £3.50 profit if City held on. I could of even greened up for a guaranteed profit that would of took me close to the original stake of £10, but I was so confident in City that I let it roll. Unfortunately and it deserves me right, Liverpool scored about the 77th minute and so I then took the gamble that City would come back and still win it. So I placed the £7.05 on City when I saw the odds available on City. It would also propel me to over the £25 mark should it happen, but it didn’t happen and I went Busto.
It’s an important lesson learnt. I need to stop being one tracked and think about the long picture and slowly make my way to the £50 mark and not take wild punts. Because I’ve gone Bust, I now have to wait 24 hrs before I can reload, so the next fixtures are Tuesday with just the national league teams in action. There’s not normally a lot of liquidity in the lower leagues but it’s been sometime though. Anyway, that’s it until Tuesday and below are the screenshots of the Busto bets.

Day 2

It started off really well again. PSG where playing in the French Super cup and it was 1-1 in the 68th minute. PSG had a full strength squad out and so I placed the minimum £2 for PSG to win. They did score and they did close out the match to increase my Bankroll to over £13.

So that was a nice addition to the Bankroll, that was until I had my first bit of hard luck. Following on from that game, the 3pm U.K. games got under way and Brentford v Birmingham was the one I had my eye on. Brentford had 80% possession over the first 20/25 minutes of the game and I checked out the price and it was definitely worth having a pop at. Of course, within 60seconds of that bet being put on, Birmingham some how scored. I was not worried because Brentford had all this possession. So I laid Birmingham for £2 at almost odds of 2.50 costing me £3 + the £2 on Brentford. Unremarkably it stayed that scoreline until FT and I was now under my starting stake.
It was still a good bet considering the live stats and sometimes it’s just not your day and this was just that.

So the Bankroll now stands at £8.39. Disappointing, but I’m still in the game. I do fancy Manchester City tomorrow though in the Charity Shield at Wembley v Liverpool.......

An so it started, Day 1

At long last the time is now upon us. Friday evening saw the first game of the new season and so I found an opportunity.
The game was Luton v Middlesbrough in the championship and it was 2-2 at HT. so quite an open game. Below are screenshots of the bet I laid, then it turned into a free bet and the last was making sure I made something out of the game. Because it is so early and I had a chance to increase my Bankroll by about 23% I took a guaranteed profit. I’m not saying this is how all my bets are going to look all the time, it’s each opportunity has it arises. 2-2 at HT was a good chance of a goal being scored in the second half and that’s why I placed this lay bet.

My new Bankroll is £12.36. Every bet will be screenshot to validate it.
