Bet 24.

Sadly it’s a losing bet, but it provided great value overall and was well worth the risk reward. Playing away v one of the favourites for promotion would of been many a hone win, but I didn’t see it like that. I saw a side that had been undefeated playing away from home with some big scalps already.
So it was no surprise to me that Maidenhead took the lead away from home. Wrexham levelled to make it 1-1 and that’s when I placed the bet. To be honest I didn’t even think about laying the draw when 1-1. If I had I Would of won for sure. Never mind though. Wrexham scored again to make it 2-1 but back came Maidenhead with a goal and that’s how it finished 2-2.

Bankroll update & proof of bets

With the final bet now settled, I can now give you a Bankroll update....... My Bankroll total now stands at £38.93

Just £11.07 before I reach the first safety net and my maximum bet rules kick in. It’s been that long since with failed challenges and re-starting that I’ve forgotten exactly what the first rules are, so I’m going to have to read the blog myself.
Overall I’m very happy and it does show that patience is the best policy. Waiting for opportunities instead of betting on every single game shows it works and so I do not need to get greedy. Who knows how long this line of the number of bets I have to go through until I hit that target of £10k and I’m thinking I may very well keep it going well after that figure is passed.

So below are the last two pages from my Betdaq account and you can see the figures and my blog are exactly the same, there’s no point in lying, I’m only lying to myself. I didn’t lie on my Jesus Poker Bankroll challenge and I have no intention of lying on this challenge either.
There’s some lower league action tonight and I shall see if anything presents itself. Onwards and upwards!

Bet 23

This is the last of the bets and I am fully up to date after posting this bet. I will try and keep updating has I go, but weekends I do get busy with other blogs, Tipster pages I post and of course my assortment of bets I place for myself, I will try and update I promise.

So lastly I had Villarreal at home v Real Madrid. Madrid have struggled since Ronaldo left the club in 2017 and I felt this was a game (based on results so far in the new season) Madrid would struggle with. So I put my money were my mouth was and I backed Villarreal at odds of 5.3 for £3. I thought about the size of the bet and I’ve got to get use to not over spending. I know I have free reign up to the first £50 and if I wanted to I could lump the whole Bankroll on just one fixture tonight if I wanted to. But no, I have to think about Bankroll and that’s the whole idea of this challenge and Blog, to show with proper Bankroll Management, you can turn £10 into £10,000 and beyond.
So getting back to it. Villarreal did score first but Madrid equalised and Villarreal went 2-1 in front only for Madrid to make it 2-2 and that’s why it stayed. It was a bit like the Southampton v Man U game. I knew neither Man U and Madrid were unlikely to win and this time it was nice to be correct.
I also made my biggest win with the Villarreal match, but I took the equal profit when they were 2-1 in front and it worked out to be a good decision with Madrid scoring to make it 2-2.

Bet 22

There is a push bet with Sporting Gijon just before this next bet which was a shame because it would of added another £4 to the Bank, but these things happen. I did say it’s pretty pointless putting those push bets (push means I didn’t win or lose on the bet) into the overall Blog.

So next up was another Athletico Madrid bet. I laid the draw when 2-2 in the 73rd minute. Eibar had scored twice in the first half to go 0-2 in front after just 20 minutes and I thought about laying Eibar then. I knew Madrid would score, but the price for the Madrid win was still very very poor at just 4.33 (100/30).
They left it late though Madrid scoring in the late 80’s to go 3-2 in front and I picked up another £4 and the Bankroll was now in to the £30’s for the first time.

Bet 21

Another French game but this time we have a winner. I laid the draw in the Rennes match in the 67th Minute. It was 1-1 and the stats showed it to be a very open game which is unusual in the French league. They are normally quite tight affairs. Anyhow, there was another goal and I pick up the £3.

Just to add, although I had to move this challenge from Betfair to Betdaq, Betdaq have been running a promotion were there’s no commission taken from football bets from Saturday to Sunday. This must of saved me some money, although not much, but it all counts. I have not read the full terms and conditions, but I think it’s the top 5 Europe leagues, so U.K. French, Germany, Italy and Spanish. If and when this challenge really gets going and I’m laying bets in the £100’s, those commission free days are going to be hugely important to the Bankroll. The site is shite don’t get me wrong, there’s just not enough money in the markets, but I am getting use to it a bit more and it will be nice if it does save the challenge some cash, unlike Betfair who take 5% of any profits. Can you imagine if the bets are on Betfair and how much they would be taking, I mean 5% is a lot. £5 per every £100. So it’s something worth noting for sure.

Bet 20

Woohoo, my best run of bets without going broke.
The next bet was a £1.70 loss with Reims going on to win this match 2-0. The reason why I laid Reims was because it’s extremely rare for the draw to start off at under 2/1 (3.00) it was actually 2.87 and for the risk reward despite going down to 10 men, it was worth the risk and I have no problems with this bet.

Bet 19

Man U away to Southampton. This was just a couple of days ago and I just knew Man U would not win this game. Utd were even (2.00) to win. They are playing away to. Even when Utd went 1-0 up I knew there was a good chance still Southampton would get something out of the game and yes Southampton did score and held on for the point and a nice win for the challenge.

Although when I took the screenshot the bet wasn’t matched, it was soon after and it’s a nice £5 win added to the pot to take it back over the twenty to £21.43.

Bet 18

Bet 18 is Friday night football in the Spanish Liga. It’s Seville at home to Celta Vigo. However it turned out to be a losing bet and a loss of £5 to leave us at £21.63

Bet 17

The next bet was in a champions league qualifier. Vitoria were the home team and although it’s not a life changing amount, it’s more pennies in to the pot.

Bet 16

Bet 16 was Rangers at home. I laid the draw but I pulled out for a small loss. Needless to say Rangers scored in 91st, but overall I have to happy with the decision to take the small loss.
I started with the Bankroll of £26.53 and took the loss of £2.99

Bet 15

Another game from the league cup - Bristol Rovers v Brighton. Overall I placed 3 bets but made just short of £10 after commission which is a great result.

Bet 14

Unfortunately I missed the screenshot of this game, but it was in the League Cup. Plymouth v Reading. I laid the draw when 2-2 and it finished 2-4. I had to pay 4p commission out of the £2 win so it’s a profit overall of £1.96

Bet 13 Unlucky for some (yeap me)

I missed the screenshot of this one, it’s a loss but only £2.20. I don’t recall the bet personally and even with the information I’m still at a loss. It still lost though.....

Bet 12 Monday Bank holiday

After Sunday’s various bets we start the last Bank Holiday before Christmas with £21.97. Sadly there is just one league in the U.K. that play on this day and I did actually miss the start of these fixtures because they kicked off in the afternoon and I was expecting 7-45pm kick offs. Never mind, Solihull are playing at home and go one down early in the game and I’m pretty confident Solihull can get back into the game.
But what do I know - Solihull end up losing......

Back down to £16.97.......

Bet 11

There’s one more bet from the Sunday Italian game, I go for in the Italian League I think is worth going for and that’s Sampdoria. It’s not a massive win, but they all count and overall I have to be happy with the days bets made. It might only be a £2.08 contribution towards the Bankroll but this challenge is not a sprint but a marathon.

Bet 10

I now have the next fixture quite quickly afterwards and it’s no surprise it’s the Italian League again.
I didn’t take all the screenshots but the end result was a profit of £4.90. In total there are 4 bets made throughout the game.

Bet 8 & 9

Bet 8 was Verona in the Italian League But was a losing bet which cost me a big piece of my Bankroll. But we live and learn....

I now have to try and be extra careful if I want this to work and although still low on funds, we are not broke yet and we carry on.
Next is a small £2 gain on the FC Torino match. I back Torino at home in the Italian league and because the funds are now Just over the starting balance I’ve still got to be careful and take small profits and this is the case with this game.

I missed the end screenshot of the £2, but you can see from the next bet that my balance increased by £2 Onwards and upwards!

Bet 7

So back to £11.80 and the next bet is, backing Athletic Madrid for £5 at 2.02. It was worth backing based on the stats, it proved a good choice and Madrid held on for the win and increases the Bankroll to £13.80

A little catch up & Bet 6

Its been a while since I posted and that’s because I have been so busy. I have however been taking screenshots of my bets
This is the same attempt to just get passed the first phase of hitting that £50 mark and the rules protecting our Bankroll. I will now post the bets from the latest challenge.
The last bet was the German game Paderborn which turned out to be a winner and the Bankroll increased to £17.64.

I then thought Spurs would batter Newcastle and so I laid Newcastle when they went ahead 1-0 early in the game. However that proved to be the only goal, so I lost this bet and was back down to £11.80
